"Hospitown" is a shortened word for "hospital town." This concept was introduced in an article on a well-known economic magazine in 1980s as a future map of medical care.
The article described it like a town with various type of clinics in one site. It said,
"The mutual cooperation of those clinics will enhance and ensure the welfare of the local residents".
In 1988, we realized that idea. We launched Shinseikai Central Clinic at first. Then, Iehara Dental Clinic and Tsujita Otolaryngology Clinic started their service on the same site.
Other medical services also joined; Yonago Medical MR and CT Photography Center, Hospitown Pharmacy, Net-Care Home Nursing Service Station, Hemodialysis Center or so on.
Now, Hospitown can provide every aspect of medical care services that a general hospital can.
Moreover, we have launched more care service facilities for the aged across the city; five Day Care Centers, three long-term care health facilities, two serviced housings for the elderly, two home-visit nursing stations, one home-visit rehabilitation centers and so on. We believe that these care services help promote the quality of life in the city.
However, we still have more duties to do. We need to sustain the quality of medical care and welfare services for all the residents of the city. To achieve this new goal we will make more continuous effort.
We expect you all to keep watching us. Thank you.
